Series 92-96 of record group 58-17 consists of maps from the Public Domain Commission of Chicagon Lake (Iron County), Houghton Lake (Roscommon County), Manistique Lake (Luce and Mackinac counties), and Mullett Lake (Cheboygan County). The record group also includes a blueprint of the meander line on Lake Huron north of Port Huron (St. Clair County) in T 8 N, R 11 E.

Its members included the Auditor General, the Commissioner of the State Land Office, the Secretary of State, and three governor appointees: one from the State Board of Agriculture, one from the Regents of the University of Michigan, and one from the Board of Control of the College of Mines at Houghton.
